Whether by air, land or sea, every rescue mission is unique. But there’s one common truth: timing is everything. A purpose-built tool for critical search and rescue situations, the new Roadmaster Rescue Chronograph delivers extreme accuracy, easy readability and high functionality. Engineered with a patented pusher locking system, the chronograph function works in unison with the pulsometer scale to measure heart rate, while two illuminated sub-dial counters track elapsed time. And for countdowns at all hours, the ceramic diving bezel features a bold micro gas tube inset. Vital functionality and versatile form that’s ready to venture wherever necessary.
Because the rescue alarm can sound at any hour, the Roadmaster Rescue Chronograph features powerful micro gas tubes that shine automatically at the first sign of darkness. Charging is never required, so it is always ready for action. What’s more, this brightness goes beyond the time of day, as micro gas tubes also illuminate the chronograph sub-dials and the ceramic bezel inset. Rounding out the bold luminescence, the bezel’s markings and Arabic numerals feature Super-LumiNOVA coating. Critical timing information can be read no matter how dark the environment.
An essential tool, the chronograph is operated by two pushers that feature our patented locking system. Simply turn the pushers to unlock and engage them, then turn again to eliminate unintentional manipulation. The chronograph hand works in conjunction with the dial’s pulsometer scale – graduated for 15 pulsations – to quickly measure one’s heart rate. To operate: start the chronograph and count the person’s heartbeats. Stop the chronograph at the 15th beat. The hand will point to the scale and indicate the heart rate frequency per minute. In addition to the pulsometer scale, the chronograph can track long periods of elapsed time: the sub-dial at 12 o’clock is a 30-minute counter, while the 6 o’clock sub-dial is a 12-hour counter.
Constructed from a titanium-steel combination, the 41mm case affords high impact strength, lightweight wearing comfort and trusted durability – even at extreme temperatures. And with a case thickness of just 14.8mm, the tool watch fits securely with diverse types of gear. Atop the robust case, the steel bezel features a virtually scratchproof ceramic ring with countdown markings. And in the center of the triangular marking, a micro gas tube inset ensures an instantly bright glow in darkness, allowing the uni-directional rotating bezel to be used for countdowns at all hours.
Without hesitation, rescue teams expose themselves to severe shock, intense heat and the frigid cold. With our special cold temperature resistance oil, the movement can maintain steady accuracy in volatile conditions ranging from –45°C to 80°C (-49°F to 176°F). The constant operation indicator at 9 o’clock lets you know the timepiece is running correctly, while our patented Amortiser® anti-shock system surrounds the automatic movement and absorbs shock impact. Going further and deeper, water resistance to 100 meters and a virtually scratchproof dive bezel enable decisive underwater action.
