mechanical contractors, owners, general contractors


Job Summary: Responsible for all phases of fast track
control systems projects. This is a non-union position but requires the use of
tools for electrical installations


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the planning, execution,
    and completion of fast track control systems projects. Fast track projects
    are identified by the BAS Manager and will typically be jobs less than
    $15,000 with limited programming and wiring requirements.
  • Responsible for fast track project
    execution including project management, electrical installation and all
    BAS software requirements including programming and graphics. Provides
    accurate project as-built and commissioning documentation. Execution of
    the above tasks will normally be done directly by this position without
    the assistance of additional resources.
  • Communicates directly with project
    clients on project status, scheduling and any other project related
  • Responsible for the profitable execution
    of assigned projects and ensuring that they are done accurately, on-time,
    billed within budget and within scope of the contract.
  • Responsible for the overall financial
    results of assigned projects including: costs, project billings, and
  • Manages costs, billings and collections.
    Completes project billings in a timely and accurate format to the client.
    Maintains profitability goals and positive cash flow.
  • Provides work direction to any
    additional subcontractors, electrical installers, technicians, designers,
    and administration as necessary. Provides direction on material ordering
    for the projects assigned.
  • Evaluates the contractual scope of work
    and the impact of client issued bulletins, field directives and / or
    scheduling changes. Actively pursues additional work through change
  • Analyzes financial reporting systems and
    project schedules to proactively address potential problems. Effectively
    communicates project progress, issues and financial status to management
    as required.
  • Develops and maintains viable long-term
    relationships with customers, consultants, prime contractors and
  • Communicates and ensure subcontractors
    understand the scope of work and expectations of the project.
  • Manages the selection, ordering, budget
    and delivery schedule of materials to be procured for the projects
  • Provides coaching, mentoring and
    technical assistance to any required technicians, electrical installers
    and engineers.
  • Develops project plans and coordinates
    the required resources to ensure timely and cost effective installation
    and completion of assigned projects.
  • Other
    responsibilities as required.
