The Project Manager – DOE OCIO manages, plans and coordinates the full life-cycle of projects for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO). This position ensures that all space planning projects and operational projects goals and objectives are accomplished within the prescribed timeframe, budgetary parameters and to the customer’s satisfaction. The Project Manager I provides project team guidance necessary to meet defined project deliverables and maintains positive working relationships with the customer and key stakeholders.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist the Task Monitor with project scope, deliverables, schedule, quality and resources.

Works with the Task Monitor to set, manage and communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders.
Establishes and implements policies, procedures and standards operating procedures, and ensures their conformance with office goals.
Responsible for aiding in own self-development by being available and receptive to all training made available by the company.
Plans daily activities within the guidelines of company policy, job description and supervisor’s instruction in such a way as to maximize personal output.
Responsible for keeping own immediate work area in a neat and orderly condition to ensure safety of self and coworkers. Will report any unsafe conditions and/or practices to the appropriate supervisor and human resources. Will immediately correct any unsafe conditions to the best of own ability.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study and a minimum of two (2) years relevant project management experience, which includes two (2) years of direct project management that involves the planning, design, installation, modification, and operation of information systems. Experienced in ATAAPS, Concur and AutoCad.
CERTIFICATES / LICENSES / REGISTRATION
Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred
